Ideal role for Criminology and Psychology graduates in a specialist provision for children aged 7-19 who have experienced significant trauma, social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
This role focuses on holistic and restorative practices, creating empathy at every opportunity. The school prioritizes non-punitive measures, utilizing manual handling training only when absolutely necessary.
A practical trial day will take place in school to ensure the role is suitable for you, dependent on your availability to start ASAP, considering any notice period or university commitments.

In addition, can you ensure the children's safety? You will receive extensive SEN and safeguarding training, including MAPA Training. As an aspiring clinical psychologist, you will have the opportunity to explore and refine your genuine interests and skills over the course of your qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support secondary-aged students with EHCPs, including those with Autism, OCD, and varying levels of social anxiety.
2. Engage in physical work while being pragmatic to facilitate academic progress tailored to each child's context.
3. Adapt to some anti-social behavior, understanding that it is part of the role in aiding society's most vulnerable children; all training and support will be provided by the school.
4. Implement various therapies and holistic processes, recognizing that even small progress is a success.
5. Work with students exhibiting Pathological Demand Avoidance and Pervasive Developmental Disorder.
6. Focus on positive engagement, providing a sense of acceptance, and utilizing diverse approaches to support students.
7. Set objectives for students and encourage independence, especially for those in assisted living.
