Role Overview:
The consultancy is seeking multiple experienced Procurement & Commercial Managers with a strong background in Quantity Surveying or Estimating to join their expanding Defence team. This role is ideal for professionals looking to leverage their expertise in cost estimation and contract management into a strategic commercial position. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of functions, including:
* Sourcing and Procurement: Developing and executing procurement strategies aligned with project objectives and client policies.
* Contract Management: Overseeing the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts to ensure compliance and value for money.
* Supply Chain Management: Managing relationships with suppliers to optimize performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
* Commercial Strategy Development and Execution: Crafting and implementing commercial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
* Business Analysis and Problem Solving: Conducting thorough analyses to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
* Organisational Design: Assisting in structuring teams and processes to enhance efficiency and meet strategic goals.
* Business Transformation and Change: Leading initiatives that drive organisational change and improve operational effectiveness.
* Tendering Processes and Analysis: Managing the end-to-end tendering process, including the evaluation of bids and selection of suppliers.
* Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project success.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in procurement within Defence, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
* Strong background in Quantity Surveying or Estimating, with RICS qualifications preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 and/or JCT contract frameworks.
* Familiarity with UK Government procurement processes, such as QDC, DSPCR, and PCR.
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
