Job Overview
OCS are seeking a dedicated Food Hygiene Auditor to join our team at a food manufacturing client site in Burton Latimer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of food processing and handling procedures to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspecting facilities, reviewing processes, assessing risks, and reporting findings to management.
The auditor will also be tasked with recommending improvements, monitoring the implementation of corrective actions, and conducting follow-up audits to ensure continuous compliance.
Responsible for ensuring that all products leave the plant within legislative and / or customer specified limits.
Accurate completion of documentation requiring a good standard of written English.
A high level of integrity required in order to complete the checking / activities in line with the strict requirements of the food safety system.
Completion of a variety of internal based audits at required frequencies – some daily, some weekly, some monthly.
Feeding back audit findings to Q.A supervisors and / or managers.
Interacting with customers and / or 3rd party auditors / visitors when required – always maintaining a positive and professional manner.

Excellent observational and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
A commitment to upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety is essential.
A Quality Assurance (QA) background.
