We are looking for someone to join our Global Commodities and Derivatives Trading (“GC&DT”) in the Commercial Process & Control team. The team facilitates the growth of all the core trading businesses within SEFE M&T.
The role is responsible for working in a team that supports the controls and processes required to record trades and positions across GC&DT.
The focus is on contract management, deal capture, review, and audit as well as liaising with support functions (settlements, confirmations, product control, market risk, operations, IT).
This role will also incorporate project work and analysis for the trading teams as well as new projects associated with business developments within GC&DT.
What you will do?
1. Entering of trades as required by front office not captured by STP processes, including OTC trades, exchange trades, and fees, and provide trade data for analysis upon request.
2. Assist the structured trading desk with the deal lifecycle of complex trades, including structured deal booking, and coordinating the internal stakeholder sign off process.
3. Run the morning FX roll process helping to manage FX exposures across the trading desks, liaising with the FX desk to book and check required trades in multiple currencies.
4. Working with support functions to amend and update existing trades and resolve any trade breaks with external counterparties and intercompany trades.
5. Assist the Environmental Products team in the acceptance and delivery of a range of carbon and green certificates across multiple registries.
6. Liaise with finance department on the set up and renewal of Bank guarantees, and monitoring of items soon to expire.
7. Support the development and testing functions with process improvements, and testing of new IT solutions for new products, and any static data requirements.
8. Training and mentoring of new team members.
What you’ll bring to the role?
* Someone with strong organisational and planning skills who is able to understand business issues and specify IT solutions, you will also be able to cope with pressured situations and rapid growth of business.
* Ability to foster and build relationships across teams.
* A strong knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel essential).
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent analytical and numeracy skills and good attention to detail.
* Diligence and reliability.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually.
* Willingness to learn new skills.
Experience
* Experience of working in the energy industry, with a focus on back-office activities.
* Good understanding of trading and financial terminology.
* Exposure to Openlink’s Endur Platform.
