RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AEROSYSTEMS ENGINEER Govern Safety and Airworthiness in support of the Type Airworthiness Authority Complete the role of UAST lead Project Engineer and Engineering Authority for CFMAV platform Manage engineering and airworthiness aspects of UAS platform programme including in-service support, supported by Letter of Airworthiness Authority holder. Direct governance of projects, through the provision of technical guidance and scheduling information to the UAS Project/Delivery Manager. Provide technical advice and support to Front Line Commands and Operating Units. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE AEROSYSTEMS ENGINEER Aviation Engineering (preference for UAS world but general aviation acceptable). Demonstrate approved Safety Management Training Qualification. Knowledge of Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) methodology required. Able to travel within the UK. Chartered Engineer.
