About The Role: As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will be at the heart of creating an enriching, inclusive and personalised learning experience for children with Special Educational Needs. This role provides you with the opportunity to positively impact young learners, helping them overcome barriers to education and achieve success in a nurturing environment. Working closely with a dedicated team of professionals, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the unique learning needs of each student. Responsibilities of Primary SEN Teacher: Design and deliver engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Assess, plan and implement personalised learning strategies for students, ensuring that each child can achieve their full potential. Provide individual and small-group support to children with a variety of SEN, ensuring lessons are differentiated to cater to each student's needs. Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, support staff and the SENCO to deliver effective interventions and strategies for students with SEN. Regularly monitor and assess students’ progress, adapting teaching methods where necessary to meet individual learning needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour and communication with parents and carers. Promote positive behaviour and social development, using a range of strategies to support students in managing emotions and challenges. The successful candidate will: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification, with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN). Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a primary school setting. Strong knowledge and understanding of various SEN, including learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and other developmental challenges. The ability to differentiate lessons effectively and employ a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. A patient, compassionate and flexible approach to teaching, with a deep commitment to the holistic development of every student. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents and external professionals. Full-time availability and a proactive approach to your professional development.
