As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting people and developing services at the resource centre. You’ll provide one-to-one support and manage a caseload of ongoing work, creating and reviewing personal support plans tailored to individual strengths and goals. You’ll also lead the development of the centre, ensuring a safe and engaging environment where people can relax, build social networks, and improve their quality of life.
In addition to supporting service users, you’ll work closely with practitioners to promote good working practices, provide supervision, and guide staff development. Collaboration with the Locality Manager, Service Manager, and Head of Services will be key to identifying gaps in service delivery, implementing improvements, and meeting strategic and funder objectives.
You’ll also play a leading role in building relationships with local partners, assisting with the recruitment and support of volunteers, and overseeing that Health and Safety responsibilities are fulfilled within the practice settings.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive individual who can confidently balance autonomous working with effective team collaboration. You’ll have a strong understanding of person-centred care and social care interventions, including risk assessments. You’ll also have experience managing workloads, creating development plans, and providing professional support and supervision to colleagues.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have some or all of the following: an SVQ Level 3 qualification in Social Services and Health Care (or an equivalent qualification), experience in leading a service and providing support to people whose mental health issues seriously affect their lives. The post holder will be required to pass a PVG check.
If you are passionate about enabling Change Mental Health to deliver a valuable service to the Scottish community and feel your profile matches this role’s criteria, then we want to hear from you!
