Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Engineering team at a leading FMCG manufacturer in Manchester. As Maintenance Manager, you will support the site engineering team in delivering high-quality maintenance services and contribute to the company's continuous improvement journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
* Conduct regular team leader one-on-one sessions to discuss performance, provide feedback, and set goals.
* Ensure timely completion of Engineering Work Requests and prioritize planned work during non-breakdown situations.
* Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, food safety, and manufacturing practices within the team.
* Procure engineering spares efficiently and effectively.
* Facilitate and prioritize engineering spend in collaboration with the site engineering manager.
* Drive daily control meetings within the department.
* Support the delivery of the Engineering Strategy for Asset Care.
* Collaborate with CI & Project engineers to coordinate line improvements.
* Manage health and safety surveillance, ensuring Crimson and Sphera databases are up-to-date and reports are provided as required.
* Risk Assessments for engineering activities and review annually for quality and accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with Statutory, Mandatory, and Legal requirements.
* Analyze and report Engineering KPIs and develop action plans on a daily/weekly basis.
* Coordinate knowledge transfer through the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training of engineers.
Requirements:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented maintenance manager with a passion for ensuring machinery and equipment operate at peak efficiency. You should have experience working in a fast-paced FMCG/manufacturing environment where product quality and adherence to food safety regulations are paramount.
Minimum qualifications include an Engineering apprenticeship and NVQ 2, City & Guilds, or ONC/HNC.
Salary:
£62,475 package
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, Days, 37.5 hours per week, flexible start and finish times available
