About the role
Reporting directly to one of our Portfolio Managers, the Business Analyst role plays a crucial part within IAG Cargo by providing the bridge between the business and Solution Delivery Teams and ensuring solution requirements are captured, understood and delivered.
Working closely with business owners and product owners, they will ensure the business needs are captured and described in a way that enables IT to develop, test and deploy solution(s) that deliver the target business benefits.
What you'll do
1. Use structured best practice methodologies to understand the business needs, target benefits and priorities
2. Create and manage their requirements workshop plan(s) and lead the workshops to ensure objectives are achieved
3. Capture and document the business requirements in a structure and format that enables IAG Tech (incl. 3rd party solution providers) to deliver solution(s) that will meet the business need
4. Support IAG Tech (incl. 3rd party solution providers) with designing the solution(s)
5. Support the creation of test cases (technical and business)
6. Consider both business needs and the IAG Tech Enterprise Architecture Strategy (including defined standards) when supporting IAG Tech with solution design
7. Manage the review and sign-off/approval of documented requirements, covering the following as a minimum input - business/customer, quality - defined business analysis/document standards, output - IAG Tech/solution provider
8. Deliver on several projects, the breadth and complexity of which will vary depending on experience

3. Effective senior stakeholder management, balancing and finding compromises between opposing views and opinions
4. Business partnering, working as a valued partner with senior stakeholders across a diverse operation, delivering a value-added service to business customers
5. Strong analytical approach to capturing business requirements, documenting them in a succinct manner
6. Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives
7. Embracing and managing both business and IT change as necessary to help shape future direction
8. Ability to work under pressure
9. Identifies and contributes to the continual improvement of analysis capability across the organisation
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex IT/technology solutions in a coherent manner
Skills and Experience:
1. Educated to degree level, or equivalent qualification/experience
2. Recognised Business Analysis qualifications (e.g., BCS Certification on Business Analysis)
3. Recognised Agile and/or Waterfall qualifications.
4. Demonstrable experience of successfully performing a Business Analysis role in both Agile and Waterfall delivery settings
5. Demonstrable experience of process engineering and requirement documentation
6. Experience of working in a business and technology delivery environment
7. Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures is desirable
8. Experience working in the Logistics, Freight, Courier industry - desirable
9. Experience of major technology and business change programs - desirable
