Communications Co-ordinator - 1 x part time post
Based: Beverley Office
18.5 hours per week
Salary scale: £29,560pa pro rata
Hybrid working policy in operation - option to work part of your week from home.
Working collaboratively with the Data and Insights officer, Senior Management Team, and Volunteer Coordinators, you will engage and inspire our communities, potential volunteers, stakeholders, and funders with awareness campaigns. Your remit will include supporting the development and creation of content to celebrate our volunteers and the work of our teams, as well as maintaining our systems to ensure individuals are directed to appropriate advice services and volunteering opportunities. Working with the wider team, you will help shape and deliver the organisation's communication strategy and engagement activities. You will need to demonstrate the importance of maintaining a consistent brand identity and support your colleagues to ensure quality communications across all products and initiatives.
You will be passionate about using communications to improve services, and you will need a good understanding of working with diverse communities within Hull and East Riding. You will have excellent copywriting skills combined with content management and marketing campaign experience, or have transferable skills and be willing to develop these.
Social media content and campaign experience combined with website management is desirable. Experience of media relations activity, including working with the team to build relationships with media outlets, assisting with writing press releases, and responding to enquiries, is also desirable.
You will have the ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team and to be confident using a wide range of IT systems. IT equipment will be provided.
