Location: Effingham, Surrey
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: £27,713 - £30,250 (dependent on qualifications)

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to make a real impact in the lives of students with autism and associated learning difficulties? We are seeking a dedicated HLTA to support teaching and learning in a specialist setting, working with students aged 11-16 with behavioural and communication needs.
About the Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEN), you will:
✔️ Lead lessons in the absence of a class teacher.
✔️ Support teaching and learning through differentiated activities.
✔️ Provide meaningful feedback on pupil behaviour and engagement.
✔️ Implement individual education plans (EHCPs).
✔️ Monitor pupil welfare and contribute to safeguarding practices.
About You:
✅ GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or equivalent).
✅ HLTA Diploma (Level 4) or equivalent qualification/experience.
✅ Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
✅ Passion for supporting SEN students in a nurturing environment.
