We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician \n\nAn Apprenticeship served Mechanical and Engineering Maintenance to work on to provide breakdown and Maintenance cover on a varied range of equipment and machinery.\nPrepared to work at other sites within the Account to meet business needs.\nMust work well in a team and can work on own initiative.\nMust be self-motivating, flexible, resilient, able and confident.\n \n Skills: \n\nRepair and maintenance of Equipment including servicing, repairing, adjusting and replacing component parts.\nAbility to fault find and have good problem solving and organisation skills.\nUse of hand and power tools.\nUse of measuring devices.\nRead and understand specifications.\nPipe fitting and plumbing techniques.\nUse of pipe fitting equipment including cutting, threading, jointing, bending etc.\nAbility to complete concise comprehensive work records and reports.\nEffective communication skills.\nExperience of dealing with demanding Client requirements.\n \n Behaviour:\n\nObserve Company rules for Employees.\nObserve Company policy on Health & Safety.\nObserve Company policy and procedures on Quality Assurance.\nCo-operate readily, politely and amicably with Client and other Company Personnel.\nObserve company Ethics and Integrity policy.\nTo undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested within your capabilities.\n \n Job description:\n\nIdentifying potential failure or deterioration of Machinery and Equipment.\nDetermine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and either complete remedial work during shift or brief Manager or Supervisor on issue, cause and recommended solution.\nRemove and replace worn components.\nPipe fitting and Plumbing techniques to include the assembly and installation of pipe sections, fittings and fixtures for Steam, Gas, Hot and cold water systems, Heating systems, Cooling Systems, Sprinkler systems, Drains and Drainage systems, Industrial production and processing systems.\nModify, clean, and maintain pipe systems.\nCarry out Preventative Maintenance tasks as scheduled to the required standard.\nCarry out monitoring, repairs, fault diagnosis & inspection of key equipment such as Cooling Towers, Pressure systems, Production machinery and equipment, etc. to keep Client compliant with legislation.\nPrevent losses (equipment damage), accidents or injuries through use or maintenance of equipment.\nConduct continuous Equipment observation, identifying potential safety risks and taking necessary actions to remove the hazard.\nConduct risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to start of work to remove hazards.\nEnsure equipment is handed back to production in 100% safe condition.\nBe aware of incident reports and work with operational managers to promptly implement solutions to prevent re-occurrence.\nComplete corrective actions during shift to return equipment to standard output, quality and waste levels.\nRespond immediately to equipment failures during your shift.\nConduct systematic, rigorous, accurate fault diagnosis and determine most effective solution to faults and to prevent reoccurrence.\nPreparation of Steam Boilers for Annual Inspections.\nProblem solving faults and breakdowns on Steam Boilers.\nIdentify, recommend and implement Equipment and process improvements.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce the time taken for activities and develop and recommend solutions to improve the time taken.\nInspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.\nAttach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.\nAssemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading joints.\nFabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand.\nUpdating and Using Relevant Knowledge - Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.\nTraining and Teaching Others.\nCommunicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.\n\nPerformance KPIs\n\nClient satisfaction.\n \n Standard of work.\n \n Work Ethic and attitude.\n \n Flexibility.\n \n Communication.\n \n Training undertaken.\n \n Clear concise up to date reporting.\n\nAbout CBRE Global Workplace Solutions:\n \nAs one of CBRE's core global businesses, Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) provides end-to-end services to occupier clients across the entire lifecycle of a building.
