We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who are a leading Manufacturing company based in the West Midlands The ideal candidate would be responsible for the integration of units onto the overall machine build of Friction Welding Machinery, which also includes the installation and upgrades on-site at the customers location - both within the UK and Worldwide. Your expertise will be valued and heard as you take advantage of this opportunity to review and voice any concerns on each design and also identify all materials required to support the Mechanical Build sequence. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assemble machines per assembly prints Read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics Hydraulic tube bending / forming and making hose assemblies Install pneumatic and hydraulic systems Utilize welding ability to fabricate mounting brackets Inspect parts from a drawing using various inspection equipment Build spindles and Clamps Perform on-site installation, upgrades and refurbishments Operate machine shop equipment such as Miller, Lather, Surface Grinder, etc. Integrate vendor automation, conveyors, robots and guarding Requirements: Proven commitment to safety by an excellent safety record Keen ability to work within a strong team environment Proficiency in working to tight tolerances Experienced ability to read assembly drawings and ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and layout. Exceptional verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate problems with material and parts to the engineering department Demonstrated experience communicating with customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner Ability to adapt and be flexible to build design and schedule changes Demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot and anticipate results, and make effective decisions. Ability to travel domestically and internationally, occassionally Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and work without supervision. Must conduct oneself with the highest level of professional and ethical standards. City and Guild Mechanical Engineering and/or BTEC Mechanical Engineering Machine Tool Fitter Experience Bespoke machine building experience. Physical Requirements: Flexibility and stamina as required of occassional lengthy travel Use hands for purposes of keyboarding; hand tools, handle or feel. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 18kgs.
