Job Description
As a vital member of the Property Services team, you will assist the Quantity Surveyors with the fiscal and contractual administration of projects being carried out.
You will be fully supported, and this is a great opportunity for you to build a solid foundation to your career. During your time on your programme, you will be responsible for assisting your team with:
1. Preparing and issuing subcontract enquiries and trade packages.
2. Assessing and comparing subcontractors quotes and drafting orders.
3. Preparing monthly reports.
4. Evaluating materials on site.
5. Paying invoices through the finance system
Qualifications
In order to meet the entry criteria for this apprenticeship programme you need to have:
6. 112 UCAS Tariff points from A Levels, T Levels, BTECs, Access to HE and all other qualifications with UCAS Tariff points.
7. 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C including English, Maths and a Science
8. Good IT ability, particularly Excel and keen to learn other Microsoft packages.
9. Numerate to a high standard, able to analyse and work with financial data.

Additional Information
As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor with Property Services, you’ll be given a real job from day one where you will gain hands-on industry experience, and the knowledge required to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll be inspired and stretched professionally, but fully supported by an expert network of colleagues, as you work to build the foundations for a career within United Living, and the construction industry.
To help you settle into your role, we’ll provide you with a buddy from our apprentice population. They will have some great advice as they were in exactly the same situation as you not so long ago, and you’ll also receive a dedicated mentor who will help guide you throughout your apprenticeship programme to help you achieve professional success.
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto the Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship (Quantity Surveying pathway) qualification with one of our training partners. You will be fully supported through a variety of methods such as classroom or remotely taught sessions, learning materials, and one-to-one support from your tutor or coach. They will also meet regularly with you and your line manager to ensure you are progressing through your programme.
