Job Description
Experienced HSE Officer required for a long term contract role, working on behalf of our NW England based client on a new energy project.
Candidates must have previous HSE experience working on oil & gas/energy sector projects.
Role:
1. Ensure that Project/Site HSE plans and procedures are properly implemented on site during operations
2. Report to the upper HSE referent on any HSE issues occurred on site
3. Liaise continuously with the workforce and supervision on HSE issues
Tasks:
1. Conduct internal HSE inspections
2. Deliver HSE induction and training
3. Keep updated HSE procedures for the specific tasks
4. Supervise HSE procedures implementation in the operative sites
5. Ensure effective implementation of Life Saving Rules
6. Spread HSE rules / standards / procedures / bulletins on site
7. Ensure that relevant safety risk assessments are complied with, and that Job Safety Analysis are prepared during the operations
8. Promote safe operative techniques and methodologies for the planning, safety control (i.e. JSA)
9. Ensure adequate HSE reporting in line with Company procedures
10. Inspect subcontractors activities
11. Control compliance of the equipment utilized on site
12. Monitor the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site
13. Prepare and administer HSE Key Performance Indicators for the operational activities
14. Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures
15. Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials
16. Supervise Environmental aspect on site, supporting key personnel
