Job Title: Senior Export Contract Manager
Location: Stevenage or Bristol (Relocation package may be available)
Work Pattern: Hybrid – 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK National with British citizenship

The Opportunity:
An exciting position has arisen within the Programmes Export Operations Directorate for a skilled and seasoned Senior Export Contract Manager. Reporting to the Export Contract Management UK Executive, this role requires a versatile mix of commercial, financial, and project management expertise to lead and deliver complex, strategically important export contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead international government and military contracts for high-stakes projects, representing Our Client up to the 1* level.
* Oversee multiple, diverse contracts across domains and locations, ensuring seamless delivery.
* Manage contract schedules to maximize customer satisfaction while building enduring relationships.
* Proactively resolve issues through strategic risk and opportunity management, safeguarding Our Client’s interests and international reputation.
* Organise customer acceptance events, coordinate transport solutions, and manage contractual payments.
* Communicate consistently and clearly with customers, government bodies, partners, and internal teams.
* Negotiate contract amendments and support Sales & Business Development in acquiring new international contracts.
* Collaborate internationally with teams in France, Spain, and Italy to fulfil Inter-Company Trading export contracts.
What We’re Looking for in You:
* Leadership and relationship management skills to build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships.
* Experience defining, communicating, and implementing strategic goals within complex political environments.
* Proven experience in leading contract delivery through both bid and execution phases, ideally on an international scale.
* A high level of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a confident and transparent leadership style.
* Experience in people management, handling internal and external stakeholder relations.
* Flexibility for international travel and openness to diverse cultures.
* Background in preparing and authorising Bid submissions, with preferable experience as Business Bid Authority.
* Experience collaborating in large, complex (multi-national) organisations with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, export control, quality, and engineering.
