Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to lead our Manufacturing Programme Management team; working hand-in-hand with the Manufacturing Operations team to deliver on time, on cost and quality.
Salary: Circa £65,000
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site, due to workload classification.
Security Clearance: British National or British/Dual national. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
The role is leading the Manufacturing Programme Management team for the delivery of a strategically significant portfolio of contracts within our Tactical Strike Programmes Sector. Reporting to the Chief Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you will demonstrate both a broad and deep set of project management and leadership skills to lead and deliver manufacturing projects in a complex environment.
What we're looking for from you:
* Leadership, influencing and relationship management skills required to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
* De-conflict the competing requirements of multiple customers and contracts in order to deliver the manufacturing programmes that best meets the global objective and is aligned to current business priorities/strategy.
* Able to understand the engineering aspects of challenges faced and be able to lead teams through these challenges to resolution whilst protecting the cost and schedule of projects as well as the customer relationship.
* The ability to solve problems in a multi-stage approach which is cognisant of the product maturity in an environment that will be maturing product at all product lifecycles simultaneously.
* The ability to quickly understand process or legislative issues and be able to critically think of solutions to work within these and deliver successful outcomes.
* You will need to have a high degree of self-motivation and drive with the ability work independently and as part of a team.
* Accomplished people manager in a leadership role as well as being skilled at leading internal and external stakeholder relationships.
* You will have effective interpersonal and communications skills and an open, confident and clear leadership style.
* Eligibility to hold DV clearance.
* Some previous experience of Project Management for Manufacturing, including Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) is preferred but not essential.

The Manufacturing Programme Management team have a strategically important role of ensuring MBDA delivers on its commitments to produce hardware for a portfolio of different contracts across multiple phases of the project lifecycle from Assessment Phase through to Manufacturing.
As the projects are complex in their technical nature and also in their project organisation this involves interfacing with a wide variety of stakeholders including SBD, Programmes, and Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
