Job summary To be responsible for providing high quality therapeutic support and advice to children and young people, parents and families who present with a range of mental health and emotional needs in relation to the child's experience of sexual trauma. Main duties of the job To deliver therapeutic support and advice to children, young people and families affected by sexual trauma. To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist support in relation to children, young people and families referred to STARS To offer therapeutic sessions to a child or young people, on a group, family or individual basis, including pre-trial support and to review progress of the support provided on a regular basis. This can include evening groups for young people. To offer support and advice to the carers of children and young people affected by sexual trauma. This may include individual, group or family work. To undertake ongoing evaluation of the outcome of the interventions provided.
