As a Fluid Systems Engineer within Rolls-Royce's Submarines business, you will become part of the nuclear industry's leading edge, using your skills and experience in an environment where excellence is paramount.

Your needs are unique. Hybrid working allows our people to balance their time between the office and home, with an average expectation of three days per week in the workplace for collaboration.
What you will be doing:
You will be designing and developing process solutions for submarine and shore-based process systems, including:
* Leading the development of requirements and design options for engineering packages.
* Basic performance analysis of fluid systems using commercial and in-house developed thermal-hydraulic codes.
* Design substantiation and safety justification of process systems, using evaluation techniques such as HAZOP and fault tree analysis.
* Ensuring principles of inherent safety and hierarchy of controls are embedded into the design.
* Defining operating procedures and component specifications.
* Supporting submarine and facility design, build, and commissioning activities.
* Maintaining in-service design justifications and responding to in-service events.
Who we’re looking for:
* Process/Fluid Systems experience in the Nuclear Sector, or relevant industries like Chemical, Oil/Gas, Pharmaceutical, or Food.
* Strong understanding of fluid mechanics/dynamics fundamentals (CFD).
* A degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
* Basic process engineering and mathematical solver software ability.
* Collaborative approach with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
