We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of major contracts through their full life cycle. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will take a leading role in coordinating engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and handover activities, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule and objectives.
You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to maintain a sharp focus on safety, quality, time, and cost parameters, driving efficiency and excellence in project execution. You will provide clear leadership and coordination for all activities involved in the full life cycle delivery of assigned major contracts.
As the Assistant Project Manager, you will ensure all planning and execution adhere to established safety, quality, time, and cost requirements, supporting the successful completion of the project.
Are you an experienced Assistant Project Manager with a technical/engineering background? Strong organisational skills with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills? Are you the type of person who likes a fast-paced environment and enjoys challenges?
You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role involves interacting effectively with senior management and delivering clear information.
We are looking for someone with strong people management abilities, capable of building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and working collaboratively within complex, multidisciplinary teams at all levels. Additionally, you should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, including the ability to perform budget analysis and forecasting, and be proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
Alongside a salary between £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits.
