I am currently recruiting for a broad Financial Controller position to join a highly profitable, growing SME based in Bedfordshire. In this role you will report directly to the Managing Director to ensure the business is adhering to strong financial controls and towards the achievement of business objectives. As part of this role you will manage a small team to ensure the delivery of work. You will: Have day to day management of a small team Own all aspects of financial reporting including month end, flash management accounts and monthly management accounts with variance analysis Develop and maintain controls and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management Prepare the cashflow forecast with variance analysis Review payment runs and set up of payment files within the bank Assist in all statutory deadlines including managing the year end audit process Work alongside non-finance teams on a monthly basis, providing robust challenge to any movements Assist in the preparation of the monthly board pack Assist in the preparation of the monthly forecast Assist in the preparation of the annual budget pack Be involved in ad-hoc project work You have: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or overseas equivalent) Some post-qualified experience within a Finance Manager / Controller or SME Finance Director role within an accounting or financial management role Strong communication skills (with both finance & non-finance) Strong Excel Skills This role is a hybrid role with 3 days per week required in the office in Bedfordshire.
