NDO Consultants has been engaged exclusively on behalf of our client who is a British manufacturer of instrumentation. The company is enjoying a period of expansion and growth following a takeover by new ownership in 2022.
Following a relocation of the company HQ to Thetford, Norfolk they continue to innovate and their plans for further global expansion are ambitious, as part of the growth they are looking for the right people to support this growth both locally and globally.

The Role:
On behalf of our client we are seeking an internal sales person. The role is a key position in the development of UK sales and the support of the overseas distributor network, it offers exciting career opportunities for the right person who can prove their ability in sales. Working closely with the Managing Director and the marketing role the internal sales person requires a mix of skills in sales and customer service. Development of sales in the UK requires extensive prospecting and the successful candidate must be confident using the telephone rather than relying on email and messaging.
In addition to sales development the role will also follow up on enquiries, create quotes, support existing customer enquiries, track and follow up quotes in a timely manner and ensure all quotes and data are updated in the company CRM package. Checking of order accuracy prior to passing to accounts is also an important part of the role.
Although this is a technical company selling technical products, the priority for the sales role is to engage with customers, build relationships and as soon as a technical question is asked it can be passed to the engineering team for further development. Training will be provided to provide the successful candidate with the tools to connect with relevant customers.
The role will be based full time at the new Company HQ in Thetford, Norfolk.

Skills/Experience:
Essential
* Experience with sales prospecting/telesales and finding new customers.
* Confident telephone manner, not afraid to quiz potential customers to identify possible sales opportunities.
* Not easily put off by less than helpful ‘telephone gatekeepers’
* Quote generation, follow up and tracking, order processing.
Preferable
* Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software
* Some knowledge of export requirements
* Working with technical or engineering based products
Individual:
* Able to work as part of a team
* Excellent initiative required
* Attention to detail
* Outgoing and engaging personality, not afraid to pick up the phone to new people.
* Confident approach whilst being able to listen to others.
