Campus Safety Liaison Officer & Intervention Support Lead
Location: Birmingham (3 sites - B4, B44, B74)
Salary: 24,000 - 28,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Holiday: 30 days per year
Contract: Permanent

Long Term Futures is looking to appoint a proactive Campus Safety Liaison Officer & Intervention Support Lead to join a highly regarded Birmingham college, working across three sites (B4, B44 & B74). This is a dynamic, student-focused role, ideal for individuals passionate about student welfare, safety, and behaviour management.
Role Description: To deliver a first-class Security and wellbeing service to all staff, students and visitors, monitoring all areas of the college and intervening with challenging behaviours where needed. This is a varied role, and the successful candidate will place a heavy focus on leading on the development and operation of intervention strategies to manage and improve student behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a visible and approachable figure on campus, providing guidance and support to students, staff, and visitors.
* Lead intervention strategies to address and improve student behaviour, working closely with key teams across the college.
* Regularly patrol the college buildings and recreational areas to ensure safety and proactively address issues before they escalate.
* Respond promptly and effectively to any emergency situations, assisting the Campus Safety Team in ensuring a safe environment for all.
* Maintain accurate incident records and report on behavioural trends, recommending improvements to reduce disciplinary actions.
* Communicate college rules and expectations to students and their families, creating an environment of respect, safety, and accountability.
Role Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people in roles such as a police officer, probation officer, youth worker, or community worker is highly desirable.
* Access to reliable transport to travel between the college's three sites (B4, B44, B74).
* Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with a calm and professional approach in challenging situations.
* Passion for improving student outcomes and behaviour, contributing to a positive college ethos of 'ready, respectful & safe'.
