The Playhouse wishes to recruit an Arts & Peace-making Manager to support the development, coordination and delivery of The Playhouse’s Arts and Peace-making, Community Relations work.
You would be working locally, regionally and nationally with our colleagues on the development and delivery of our Arts & Peace-making portfolio (That’s Powerful, Artitude and the Leaders for Peace Network and Conferences) as well as other community relations focused projects.
The post is a 12-month, fixed term full time contract (with possibility of extension).
Key Responsibilities
1. Working closely with the Creative Director and the Arts and Peace-making team (2x Community Relations Officers and Artitude Community Residency Officer) to ensure the delivery of high-quality Peace-making and Performing Arts learning resources, engagement projects, workshops and conferences from their concept to their completion, managing logistics planning and administration.
2. Devise and propose annual project plans and schedules with colleagues aligned to the overall Playhouse and Operations programming timeline.
3. Work closely with all internal staff (including Visitors Experience, Housekeeping, Finance, Development etc.) and external contractors to ensure all operational requirements are delivered and high-quality service levels met.
4. Ensure Community Relations projects and programme administration is effectively maintained.
5. Oversee all project administration and maintain all project records.
6. Contribute to and regularly update the global schedule and maintain a detailed calendar of events, liaising with the wider Playhouse team as required.
7. Work with colleagues in Producing and Marketing to maximise opportunities to market and extend the programme.
8. Support artists, freelancers etc. and The Playhouse team by ensuring the efficiency of administrating, issuing and collecting and securely filing contracts.
9. Ensure the required additional documentation for contracted artists as per The Playhouse standard procedures for e.g. Access NI checks etc. are collected by the Community Relations team.
10. Prepare briefings for all project stakeholders including creative teams, staff, chaperones and/or volunteers.
11. Organise travel and accommodation requirements for practitioners and colleagues as needed.
12. Manage ticketing set up with Visitors Experience as relevant.
13. Liaise with artists/creative teams to collate relevant information.
14. Events manage on the day as necessary: including managing rooms/venues set up, sourcing materials, equipment, managing catering needs, securing chaperones, and preparing signage.
15. Undertake get out and storage of content post-events.
16. Be a positive ambassador for the Arts & Peace-making Portfolio and The Playhouse.
17. Act as a main point of contact and lynchpin for internal and external stakeholders and Playhouse teams involved in Community Relations.
18. Proactively maintain engagement with participating schools, community organisations and creative peace-making networks to support and retain their involvement.
19. Scrutinise formal evaluation and anecdotal feedback with the Creative Director and other Playhouse colleagues to ensure that the projects are having maximum impact.
20. Provide training for practitioners as required.
21. Represent The Playhouse as required at relevant arts, community relations and/or education industry conferences and network groups.
22. Support line manage the Community Relations Officers and the Climate Action Community Relations Officer.
23. Event manage where appropriate at The Playhouse, and at off-site venues.
24. Lead the delivery of virtual training events and workshops.
25. Liaise with the Creative Director and Producer to identify, brief and secure practitioners, speakers and/or representatives engaging with events.
