We are seeking an experiencedPlant & Asset Managerto oversee the day-to-day operations of our busyPlant Department. This role is essential in managing our assets, liaising with key suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring the smooth running of operations.
The RoleThis position is perfect for someone with a passion forvehicles and plant equipment, looking to join a leading groundworks contractor in the South West. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a large fleet and plant inventory while supporting operational efficiency across multiple sites.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage all assets, including800+ items of plant, 6 HGVs, 200 vans, and small tools .Maintaincertification recordsand ensure compliance.Liaise with theworkshop team(Workshop Manager, Mobile Fitters, and Workshop Fitters).Oversee the procurement and allocation ofnewly purchased plant equipment .Arrangesignwritingand branding for company vehicles and machinery.MaintainGPS tracking systemrecords and monitor asset locations.Track and recordplant movementacross sites.Liaise withsuppliersand handle procurement processes.Attend and contribute toweekly meetings .Producemonthly reportson asset performance and usage.Organisetesting and compliance checksfor lifting equipment.Manageinvoice queries and approvals .Oversee the smooth running of thePlant Office .About YouWe are looking for anenthusiastic and well-organisedindividual with previous experience in aplant, parts, or vehicle management role. The ability to lead a team, liaise with multiple departments, and keep operations running efficiently is essential.
Required Experience & Skills:?Strong organisational skillsand attention to detail.
?Proficiency in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel).
?Experience in a managerial role .
