Science Teacher Trainee - responsibilities:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Science Teacher Trainee to gain hands-on experience while working towards your Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). As a trainee, you will receive excellent support and mentoring from experienced teachers, helping you to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a confident and successful science educator.
1. Assist in planning and teaching: support the planning and delivery of Science lessons across KS3-KS5, ensuring they are engaging, challenging, and aligned with the curriculum.
2. Classroom Management: maintain a positive and well-structured classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages curiosity.
3. Assessment and feedback: help monitor the progress of students and assist in assessing their understanding.
4. Subject-specific support: work with pupils to develop their understanding and interest in Science through practical experiments, demonstrations, and investigations.
5. Collaboration: work alongside experienced science teachers and colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas for continuous improvement.
Science Teacher Trainee - requirements:
1. Has a strong passion for Science and teaching
2. Holds a degree in a relevant science subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a combined Science degree)
3. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young learners
4. Dedicated to learning and developing as a professional teacher
5. Patient, adaptable, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment
6. Previous experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, or in a school setting) is essential
