Position Overview
Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Process Operator, located offshore on the Captain FPSO. This position will be working as part of a multi-discipline team, and the successful candidate should be prepared to assist with a variety of tasks to a level consistent with knowledge and training and be capable of learning and advancing to the position of Control Room Operator.
Responsibilities
* Safe and efficient operation monitoring of process plant and associated systems, with good knowledge of process safety.
* Controlled plant start-up and shutdown in a safe manner, understanding the potential hazards associated with the process or equipment involved using operations procedures.
* Diagnostic, problem solving and remedial work/operations in the event of plant upsets in equipment using relevant P&IDs & vendor manuals.
The range of systems is extensive and includes, but is not limited to the following:
Oil Production
* Xmas Trees, Subsurface Safety Valves and controls, Hydraulic Control Panels, Production Manifolds, Test and Production Separators, Heat Exchangers, Produced Water Degassers and Hydrocyclone Packages, Booster and MOL Pumps and Prover Loops, Chemical Injection Packages, Pig Launchers Main Oil Line SSVs.
Gas Compression
* Reciprocal, screw & centrifugal Compressors, Scrubber Vessels, Heat Exchangers.
* Seawater Lift Pumps, Coarse Filter Packages, Heat Exchangers, Vacuum Deaeration Towers, Vacuum Pumps, Booster and Water Injection Pumps, Chemical Injection Packages.
Support Systems
* Gas Turbines, Emergency Diesel Generators, Emergency Firewater Pumps, Air Compressors, Utility systems and Laboratory Analysis.
* Maintains accurate and comprehensive records including, but not limited to, event logs, daily and trip handover documents, override logs, handheld devices.
* Monitors and maintains good housekeeping conditions within Area of Responsibility as detailed in the Company Safety Practices and Procedures Manual.
* Member of the Installation’s Emergency Response Team; required to fulfil a role such as Emergency Response Team Member/Leader & Lifeboat Coxswain.
* Carry out the duties of Area Operator or Area Authority in Proscient, (the Integrated Safe System of Work ISSOW).
* Act as IAP Isolating Authority Process to design, approve and apply isolations, ensuring that isolation standards are complied with. The Task Risk Assessment (TRA) Process is an integral part of all Work Control Certificates and should have knowledge and experience relevant to the activity to carry out the Level 2 Risk Assessment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous FPSO experience is preferred.
* Candidates should have previous petrochemical experience, demonstrate process operation, and control aptitude and ability to compile technical reports with associated drawings as required, pertaining to plant/systems operations.
* Proactive approach to HE&S initiatives.
* SVQ Processing Operations: Hydrocarbons Level 3 (or equivalent).
* Authorised Gas Tester Level 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent).
* Process Isolating Authority competency in previous employment.
* CRO experience preferred but not essential.
* Demonstrate good teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a close, multi-discipline environment and maintain positive and tactful relationships with others.
* Demonstrate proactive, flexible and positive attitude.
* Share knowledge freely with others to ensure best practice.
