Our Hoosier location at Plymouth, IN is seeking a Production Lab Technician to join our team!

THE POSITION
As a Production Lab Technician with Hoosier Racing Tire, the ideal candidate will possess organizational skills, be self-motivated and team-oriented, with excellent time management skills.
2nd Shift Schedule – 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, M-F
Primary Responsibilities
1. Quickly test all batches of rubber made in production.
2. Assure all batches are within spec. limitations, accurately test and record results of all production compound tests.
3. Test all raw polymers and calender samples.
General Responsibilities
1. Basic Computer skills (Ability to send emails and add attachments within Outlook, Word document creation, and data entry in Excel).
2. Keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly in order to maintain a safe work environment.
3. Follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production.
4. Follow all plant Safety and environmental policies.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to follow instructions written in standard English.
Must be able to work overtime, as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to bend, climb, squat, crawl, reach and twist frequently.
Ability to lift 20-30 lbs. frequently.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Lab experience preferred.
