Your mission
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team as we grow our group of companies. As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial records, preparing financial statements, analysing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with our team.
Job Description
Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts. Presenting and challenging the findings to the management team
Working with senior management and directors helping drive the future of the company
Managing the wide variety of financial matters arising for the business
Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes
Prepare and monitor the budgets, forecasts and financial performance
Analyse financial data to identify cost reduction opportunities
Managing cashflow
Bank and balance sheet reconciliation
Posting journals, accruals, pre-payments and intercompany transactions
Responsibility for VAT & HMRC submissions for the Group companies
First hand experience of CIS and reverse VAT
Support the payroll process
Manage and support the accounts payable and receivable processes
Credit Control supervision and debt chasing when required
Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Minimum 2-3 years experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and spreadsheets - lookups and pivot tables
Unrestricted right to work in the UK
