SEN Teacher
Location: Cranbrook
Salary: £160 - £240 per day
Contract: ASPA - ongoing
Vision for Education are currently working with an Independent SEN School in Cranbrook who are recruiting an SEN Teacher to join their school. As a SEN Teacher, you will be teaching young students aged 14 to 18 years old. This is a full-time role, starting ASAP and ongoing for the foreseeable future. The school is looking for an experienced teacher who has a real passion for teaching SEN and the ability to plan and adapt their lessons.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students with a variety of learning needs, providing tailored support and developing strategies to enable them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality, differentiated teaching and support for students with special educational needs.
2. Collaborate with other staff to create Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure students' needs are met in all aspects of school life.
3. Develop and implement bespoke learning strategies and resources to support students' progress.
4. Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
5. Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional development.
6. Work closely with parents, external agencies, and school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for students.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Proven experience working with students with SEN, particularly in an educational setting.
3. A passion for inclusive education and the ability to differentiate learning to suit individual needs.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
5. A patient, empathetic approach, with a commitment to supporting students to achieve their best.
Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant experience of working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
