Tax Manager (Full Time)
Location: Maidenhead or Chipping Sodbury, near Bristol
Salary Range: £60,000 – £70,000

Role Overview: We are seeking an additional corporate Tax Manager to join our head office tax team of eight. This important role has responsibility for corporation tax compliance and reporting across a broad range of taxes, as well as providing support to the team on corporate tax areas such as tax risk management and governance, transfer pricing, CFC, capital allowances, R&D claims, UK group planning, etc. You will also provide transaction support to the UK operations and potentially our international business on inbound and outbound transactions.
The successful candidate will also be expected to have or develop the ability to conduct high-level reviews of indirect tax returns prepared by the finance team in respect to VAT, aggregates levy, landfill tax, CIS, Tied Oil, etc.
Qualifications: Ideally, applicants will be a graduate with a relevant professional qualification (CTA, ATT, ACA) with industry or mid-large firm corporate tax experience. You will have a strong technical background covering tax compliance and reporting, as well as accounting and auditing. Knowledge and experience of domestic or international transactions or projects is an advantage.
You will have a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, and be goal-oriented. With strong attention to detail, you will also need to have good organisational and decision-making skills along with excellent IT skills and familiarity with SAP accounting systems.
