Job Summary
The post holder will carry out driving and workshop cleaning duties and will be based at the Fleet Workshop at Northampton.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will collect and deliver vehicles to and from fleet workshops and outside repairers/bodyshops throughout the East Midlands and on occasion repairers further afield. The post holder will support operations and PTS in movements of ambulances.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the workshop is kept tidy, emptying bins and ensuring scrap metal is put in the skip. The post holder will be required to lift and carry parts in and out of vans and to and from vans to stations, sweep the workshop, and perform any other housekeeping tasks necessary to support the smooth running of the workshop.

Job responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
To carry out driving duties on behalf of the trust, collecting and delivering ambulances primarily within the trust boundaries but occasionally beyond these.
To collect and deliver ambulances, vehicle parts, tools, and other items as requested to assist in day-to-day service delivery.
To adhere to trust values.
To ensure cleanliness and roadworthiness of vehicles used within the role where appropriate.
To ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy.
To move parts and medical equipment throughout the trust; some lifting and carrying will be required.
The duties and responsibilities of the post will be undertaken in accordance with the policies, procedures, and practices of the Trust, which may be amended from time to time.
Patient Safety is a key priority for the Trust. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully compliant with EMAS policies and procedures in respect of patient safety, for example, Risk Management, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
