The Electrical Project Manager job itself
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of projects from sales/tendering handover through to completion and handover to customers. This role also includes people management responsibilities where you will be responsible for the project delivery team. More specifically:
* Delivery of grid metering projects, achieving customer requirements and in accordance with corporate project management requirements.
* Full ownership for all project phases (project engineering, procurement & manufacture, FAT, delivery, installation, SIT, SAT & final commissioning).
* Interface and liaise with all stakeholders to ensure all objectives are met to budget and on time.
* Responsible for management of Project Engineers within the project delivery team and management of project resources and project budgets.
* Manage EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) in connection with the delivery of projects and identify and manage project risks.
* Support & collaborate with Sales/Tendering during the pre-sales phase of projects.
You will have
To be successful as an Electrical Project Manager, you will have a good mix of the following:
* BSc/HND in an engineering discipline.
* Electrical engineering technical background.
* Knowledge and experience of precision metering and electrical measurements.
* Knowledge of high-voltage transmission and distribution networks.
* Project management experience; formal qualifications are advantageous.
* People management experience would be beneficial.
* Great communication and influencing skills.
