This post is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse with NMC, HCPC (OT).
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing clinical leadership and supervision of clinicians within the Home Treatment Team. This role ensures the service operates safely, effectively, and efficiently as part of the whole system of Mental Health services, fostering a culture that encourages individuals to actively identify, plan, and meet their individual needs. You will also deputise for the Service Manager in their absence, undertaking management responsibilities as required.
Qualified nurses (NMC) are currently benefiting from a Retention Allowance, which is a 10% pay uplift on top of a 5% HCAS Fringe payment. This retention allowance has a minimum total payment of £3,293 and a maximum total payment of £3,613 per annum, paid monthly and pro-rata'd to hours worked.
The post holder must have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes due to the community element of this role.
Main Duties of the Job
* Adhere to the requirements of the relevant Professional Code of Conduct at all times (NMC or HCPC).
* Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the clinical care needs of people using our services within a defined service area.
* Mentor, supervise, and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students within locality HT.
* Participate in the recruitment, deployment, and management of staff within your service area.
* Work collaboratively with other key stakeholders, including CMHRS, psychiatric liaison teams, community connections, early intervention in psychosis team, primary care teams, inpatient teams, bed management teams, and social services approved mental health practitioners.
* Provide clinical credibility across a variety of mental health crisis scenarios and situations.
* Provide knowledge and aid understanding of the concepts of recovery and how to implement these concepts in practical terms.
* Understand relevant legislation (i.e., CPA, Clinical & Social Governance, NSF, MHA) and translate it into practical application for others.
* Provide advice and guidance on current evidence-based practice within mental health.

Experience
* A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience.
* 2 years experience working within a leadership position (band 6 or above).
* Working knowledge of Child Protection, Risk Management, Nursing Procedures, CPA, and Adult Protection.
Qualifications
* Prof reg NMC, HCPC (OT).
* Completed a clinical leadership course.

Salary: £48,270 to £54,931 a year (Incl. 5% Fringe HCAS) per annum, pro rata.
