If so, we want to hear from you! About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Bilston area. You will play a vital role in helping children with SEN to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This role requires someone who can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and adapt their approach to suit individual needs. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their unique learning needs are met.
* Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour, using positive behaviour strategies.
* Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Support pupils’ social and emotional well-being, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the child.
* Assist in creating and adapting resources to meet the specific learning needs of pupils.
About You: To excel in this role, you will need:
* Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those who display challenging behaviour.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* A passion for supporting children with diverse needs and helping them achieve their potential.
* Knowledge of strategies for managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant experience in an SEN or educational setting is essential.
* A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
* Additional training in de-escalation techniques or positive behaviour management is advantageous.
