MANUFACTURING ENGINEER – PROGRAMMER, CBCC

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer - Programmer (conventional machining) within the ITP Aero UK Combustion and Casings department. ITP Aero UK design and supply a range of components for Civil, Business and Defence aerospace.
The Complex Fabrications facility, at Hucknall, is going through significant change and exciting times to support our customers. To meet the demands of all our customers we are recruiting Manufacturing Engineers. The purpose of this role is to translate product designs into world-class, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes with proven capability to meet customer and business requirements as well as to use PPAP methods to seamlessly deliver new and improve existing products in the manufacturing facility. The role is within the Manufacturing Engineering team that is made up of highly skilled and motivated teams of Manufacturing Engineers and Programmers.
What profile are we looking for?
Key Accountabilities will include:
· Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and control Methods of Manufacture to realise part designs.
· Create and maintain the technical package for the shop floor for the manufacture of parts. This will include Technical Instructions, Manufacturing Stage Drawings, Production Routers and control them effectively.
· Use of Build in Quality tools such as Process Maps, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEAs), and Control Plans.
· Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future technical and cost capability of manufacturing processes.
· Day-to-day planning of projects in line with milestones, resolve technical problems and exercise professional judgement.
· Liaise with others as design, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing to ensure delivery of parts to set timescales, targeted costs and verifying the design intent has been met.
· Liaise with the network of xMRC's to develop cutting strategies for the future.
· Liaise with third party tooling and carbide suppliers and integrators to improve manufacturing process.
· Support production to ensure product flow in the factory and drive continuous improvements to eliminate the need for concessions and rework.
· Control and reduce costs to drive profitability in the factory by continuously challenging the methods of manufacture and the designs.
Key Skills / Qualifications
· As a Manufacturing Engineer - Programmer, you will need to be degree qualified (or equivalent) or have the requisite technical experience, a passion to succeed and a vision of how modern manufacturing should be achieved.
· Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum HND/foundation degree or other national equivalent).
· UK IEng (Incorporated Engineer) or CEng (Chartered Engineer) or other national equivalent.
· Significant experience in the chip-form machining of Nickel and Titanium alloys using 3 and 5 axis machining platforms.
· Significant experience in the use Siemens / Fanuc controllers
· Possessing general understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the business.
· Possessing general awareness of Manufacturing Systems (NX, CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, SAP, Technical Publications, Teamcenter, etc.) relevant to the business.
· Having good understanding of Manufacturing Engineering processes relevant to their role in the product lifecycle.
· Have good communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.

You will work at ITP Aero from its site in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire under the guidance of professionals with extensive experience in the sector in a leading company in aeronautical engines and components that ranks among the top companies in the global aeronautical industry.
You will work closely with other enthusiastic manufacturing engineer’s along with the various support functions on site including SPG (Special Process Group), Planning & Control Team, Supply Chain, Operations and the Design team.
What are the working hours?
Days – 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday core hours 08:00-16:12
