Title: Operations Officer Location: Oxford Contract type: Fixed Term (April to September 2025) Shape unforgettable experiences for young learners from around the world—join us in delivering excellence this summer About the role Location: Oxford Start: April 2025 Reports to: Juniors Operations Manager Working pattern: Full time (Weekend shifts are shared across the department, with time given back in lieu) Salary: £25,000 pa pro rata As an Operations Officer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional summer courses for our youngest learners, aged 9?14, across three boarding school sites across West London and Windsor. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has strong organisational skills, a proactive approach, and thrives on working with teams on-site during the summer. Key aspects of the role include: Main Duties: Planning and Logistics: Assist with the planning and booking of timetables, day trips, local excursions, and restaurant visits to ensure seamless delivery of our social and cultural programme. Staff Recruitment and Training: Support the selection and onboarding of on-course staff, including conducting interviews and assisting with training sessions. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, host colleges, and suppliers through email, phone, and in-person communication. Site Presence: Be present at school sites during the core delivery period (July-August) to assist with day-to-day operational support, including occasional weekends. Unaccompanied Minors Support: Work with the Airport Transfer Manager and Services team to meet and greet students at LHR and provide arrival and departure support during core delivery weeks on a rota basis. Proactive Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and address issues, escalating when necessary to maintain smooth operations. Resource Management: Manage information and equipment, including preparing kits. Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding regulation About you Organised and detail-focused whilst fun and enthusiastic: You excel at planning, logistics, and task management with a meticulous eye for detail, but keep it lighthearted. Effective communicator with adaptability and flexibility: You are a confident in-person, phone, and email communicator, and can be outgoing and empathetic to customers. Proactive and positive: You bring a can-do attitude, learn quickly, and respond effectively to changing situations, but also enjoy finding creative solutions. Team player: Happy to step in wherever needed, with a strong sense of teamwork and a positive outlook. Essential: Experience in planning and organising events, projects, or schedules with strong attention to detail and effective coordination. Experience working with children, and understanding of their needs Willingness to spend time away from home during the summer and travel between sites (must have a driving license). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
