Hexcel is currently seeking an Technical Support Engineer – Hexcel Early Career Program for our Duxford, UK location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Provide technical support to Northern European customers covering all aspects of Hexcel products, processes and technical marketing communications. To have a broad knowledge of a defined range of products, test procedures, production processes and composite part manufacturing methods. Deliver practical and technical support to the Technical Support, Qualification and Quality departments on internal and external projects. Generate material test data to establish performance characteristics of Hexcel products and document these data and performance conclusions to support customer qualifications (Year 1). To manage quality department technical projects and investigations, including adhesives, prepregs, films and honeycombs (Year 2). Qualifications: BSc Hons (or higher) in a chemical, polymer, material science or engineering discipline. Willing and able to relocate, and travel/work with international colleagues and customers. Experience with composite material production, applications and composite processing or composite materials testing will be advantageous. High level of team working, project management and communication skills with a hands-on approach to laboratory work, data analysis and report writing. Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based.
