As the successful candidate, you will be the primary point of contact for the site, offering expert advice and guidance on occupational health-related matters. Join us in making a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our team Responsibilities Occupational Health Advice and Guidance To assist in the provision of occupational health services to meet the needs of the work force To assist in the daily running of the OH department To assist the current OH nurse to provide professional and clinical leadership to other members of the OH team (Oh nurses/technicians). To develop and maintain productive working relationships with managers, staff and HR personnel To manage a caseload providing specialist clinical advice on work related health issues To provide sickness absence management and case management as appropriate, guiding the business about workplace adjustments and phased return to work programmes To develop workplace health and wellbeing strategies To support Mental Health First Aiders on site Provide counselling and support on site as required Assist in the management of employee health records To promote the adhesion of OH policies and procedures and maintain specified standards Onboarding medical checks Health surveillance medicals/health assessments to include audiometry, spirometry, skin, lone worker, keystone vision screening, night worker and musculoskeletal assessments and FLT medicals Administration duties to include arranging appointments and writing up occupational health reports Manage third party occupational health adviser as and when required Participation in vaccination campaigns when required Liaise with the Regulatory Authorities Support the business with ongoing maintenance and improvement to ensure compliance with corporate policy and management system. Essential Qualifications A Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) qualification in adult nursing Current registration with the NMC and evidence of revalidation date Completed a course in Occupational Health (diploma or degree level) / and have completed a course in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) Experience of working in an occupational health setting after obtaining the diploma or degree in Occupational Health Nursing A working knowledge of work-related stress and anxiety and how to identify those most at risk Previous participation in health promotion campaigns Experienced in report writing Experience of using electronic OH software and use of Excel spreadsheets and MS outlook Fluent in written and spoken English Ideal But Not Essential Up to date training on audiometry and spirometry Up to date vaccinations/immunisations and anaphylaxis training Previous participation in health promotion campaigns
