We are looking to recruit a Family Time Manager into our busy Family Time Service. The successful applicant will be responsible for the operation of the service in our Family Time Centre based in the Cynon Valley. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a point where we have reconfigured and reviewed the service.
You will supervise a team of family time workers, managing absence and performance, facilitating family time sessions between looked after children and their families, liaising with social work teams, risk assessing individual sessions, covering sessions when necessary or complex, covering the Rhondda Family Time Centre to support colleague absence, managing petty cash, checking and authorising recordings and providing accurate records to professionals.
Experience of working with children and families is essential and a basic knowledge of child development is necessary to provide appropriate support and advice. You will also need to have a basic knowledge of the legal framework applicable to children who are looked after. Experience of working within a supervised family time environment is desirable. There is an expectation that you will hold a QCF level 3 in Children and Young People or gain this qualification within two years of employment and support is provided to achieve this.
This post is available within our Cynon Valley Family Time Centre, working as part of an established supportive team. The service operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and the successful applicant will be expected to manage the service during these hours.
