We are seeking an inquisitive procurement professional eager to join our Strategic Procurement Delivery team, supporting across all categories (Health, Estates and Facilities Management, Digital and IT and Business Services areas).
You will lead on multiple procurement projects for our NHS Customers, being responsible for the end to end procurement strategy. You’ll also play a key role in guiding, training, and supporting our customers—helping them navigate the process with confidence while driving value and excellence.
Although this position is predominantly home-based, there will be regular onsite meetings at our Salford office once per month, and national travel to supplier and client sites when required.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading Procurement projects (prioritisation, pre-tendering activities, tendering, selection, evaluation, moderation and potentially contract negotiation).
* Providing high quality customer centric procurement and service design advice to external customers whilst supporting the team in delivery of projects.
* Nurturing positive, collaborative, and supportive professional relationships with internal collaborators and external customers, as well as actively generating and establishing relationships with new customers.
* Actively generating opportunities for future work through the ongoing development of professional networks of contacts across the NHS and wider public sector.
* Horizon scanning in order to identify development and new opportunities for new and existing customers.
What you’ll bring:
* CIPS L4 or willingness to undertake.
* Experience and/or knowledge or working with the NHS and/or Public Sector.
* Experience in the full procurement process, including leading tendering projects and framework call offs.
* Knowledge of Procurement Contract Regulations 2015, Provider Selection Regime and New Procurement Act 2023.
* Knowledge/ experience of Procurement ERP systems, eSourcing tools.
* Working experience with internal & external collaborators of various levels.
* Excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and Outlook).
* General commercial awareness.
