NES Fircroft are working with a fantastic Engineering company based in Stockton-on-Tees and they are looking for a Process Engineer to work with them on a permanent basis!
THE ROLE:
The Process Engineer will be primarily involved in the overall design of Blast Furnace systems and equipment, and development activities associated with the Blast Furnace, especially de-carbonisation. The role will involve understanding and assessing the Blast Furnace operationally and chemically, along with ancillary process plant associated with the Furnace. The engineer will ensure that the blast furnace is technically and operationally acceptable and operates safely in accordance with local regulations. The engineer will also be expected to cover a wide-ranging role being able to provide process knowledge during the Sales phase all the way through to the "hands-on" approach during the commissioning of the plant.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment design o Ensuring correct equipment selection and design at the basic engineering stage of the contract for both the blast furnace and associated equipment. During this stage adequacy of the equipment via the use of simulation and calculations will be utilized to ensure the process can achieve the criteria stipulated within the contract.
Drawing Generation o The creation of Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process flowsheets (PFD's) are a key requirement. These documents are fed into engineering and ...
