Performing planned and reactive maintenance support to Automation and Business IT systems,to reduce the incidence of breakdowns and minimise plant disruption time.Performing improvements and changes to site Automation and Business IT systemsand taking ownership of Automation related activities to facilitate the successful deliveryof Capital and business IT systems projects.
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on plant automation, business IT systemsin accordance with EHS, GMP, GAMP and other regulatory requirements.Ensure all automation maintenance activities on business-critical plant and machineryare performed on time. Taking responsibility for Automation activities relating to capitalprojects, according to business requirements and relevant with EHS, GMP, GAMPand other regulatory requirements.
Carrying out continuous improvement of automated systems and investigating appropriatenovel innovative technologies and systems to enhance and improve business automationin accordance with EHS, GMP, GAMP and other regulatory requirements by engagingwith suppliers and keeping informed of technology advances in the field.
Developing solutions when it is identified that reliability of Automation systems areimpacted by obsolescence, failure of equipment and operation. Implementing identifiedchanges, replacements and improvements in line with business requirements and relevantEHS, GMP, GAMP and other regulatory requirements.
Supporting business IT systems that relate to plant operation by using automation knowledgeto interface with other business functions to deliver systems that are in line with businessrequirements and relevant EHS, Engineering and Quality standards.
Minimum Required:
1. Degree qualified in technically focused subject
2. Member of engineering body working towards chartership
3. Proven experience leading Automation/IT projects and maintenance
4. Proven experience working with electrical control systems, PLC's and HMI's
5. Proven experience working with serialisation tracking and vision systems
6. Deep understanding of automation, controls and production IT systems
7. Strong experience of PLC, HMI and SCADA programming
8. High level of technical understanding of pharmaceutical processes and equipmentrequirements including Quality and EHS requirements
9. Knowledge of GAMP
10. Effective communicator
11. Team player
12. Effective problem-solving skills
Work Location: Office based with some time at suppliers, on plant
On-call: Shift pattern to provide CRITICAL only business support, 'out of hours'production operates 24/6
