About the Role
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for inventory and logistics? We are looking for an Inventory and Logistics Senior Team Leader to manage a team of Departmental Team Leaders and ensure the efficient and accurate fulfilment of inventory and outbound logistics functions. You will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring resource availability, and implementing improvements in stock management and loading processes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and supporting Team Leaders across different sections.
* Overseeing inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and addressing discrepancies.
* Monitoring and improving loading methods to minimise transit damage.
* Driving IT system improvements for cost-effective and efficient operations.
* Developing leadership skills to support departmental succession planning.
* Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and workplace engagement.
About You
We are looking for a strong leader with a background in inventory and logistics management. You should have experience in people management, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in leading teams within a logistics or production environment.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan resources effectively.
* Experience in stock control, inventory management, and logistics planning.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* The ability to communicate effectively and conduct team briefings.
* Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a production setting.
