Responsibilities of a Forest School Leader include:
1. Possess experience as a Forest School Lead, including guiding school groups through activities in the forest area, regardless of weather conditions. Take responsibility for supervising the group and any accompanying adults.
2. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations within the school environment.
3. Be familiar with policies related to Safeguarding, Child Protection, and behaviour management.
4. Have a thorough understanding of the Forest School Ethos and be capable of integrating this approach into all aspects of practice.
5. Possess comprehensive knowledge of the importance of risk assessments in Forest School, and ensure that all records are maintained and kept up to date.
Requirements of a Forest School Leader include:
1. Hold a Forest School Leader's level 3 certificate.
2. Hold a current Forest Schools approved first aid certificate.
