We are looking for an experienced personal injury case handler to join our claimant injury department based in Bristol. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own caseload involving a wide variety of injury claims including vulnerable road users such as cyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclist and minor to moderate head injury claims. A combination of office and home working will be required. The successful candidate will be required to work from our Bristol office 2 days a week. On the days that you are not working in the Bristol office, you will be working from home. Duties/Responsibilities: Efficiently and effectively running own caseload of personal injury claims; Pursuing claims through and outside of the MOJ Portals including pre-and post-litigation stages making full use of our case management system; Complying fully with agreed service standards; Communicating with clients, insurers, expert witnesses and solicitors; Attending and participating in weekly risk assessment meetings; Managing expectations of clients & effectively deal with any complaints that arise in line with Company policy; Attending and participating in weekly risk assessment meetings; Any other duties as required Skills/Competencies required: Significant experience of handling a claimant injury caseload; Working knowledge of MOJ Portal processes; Knowledge of a Case Management System; Ability to work to strict Service Level Agreements; Technical proficiency in claims handling including litigation; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to analyse and research legal issues; Ability to organise and prioritise work; Ability to work as part of a team; Law degree, CILEx or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential.
