Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Based fully remote in the UK with International Travel

About the Role:
As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of vital utility equipment. Based in the UK, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team and will have the opportunity to make an impact both locally and internationally. This role offers a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, plant improvements, and troubleshooting, all while adhering to strict health and safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on refrigeration and utility equipment
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on-site
* Record equipment history and maintain quality documentation
* Provide detailed handovers to team members
* Ensure compliance with health and safety and GMP regulations at all times
* Manage contractors and ensure adherence to site procedures
* Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute ideas for equipment reliability
Qualifications:
F-GAS 2079 CAT 1 certification
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Refrigeration or equivalent qualification
Required Skills:
* Solid experience within the refrigeration service industry
* Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Mechanical or electro-engineering qualifications (preferred)
* Experience in utilities systems (boilers, HVAC, compressors) is advantageous
* Prior experience in pharmaceutical engineering and freeze dryer systems is a bonus
* Proactive, results-oriented attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
Package:
Competitive salary of £50-55K based on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:30-17:00), Friday (08:30-14:30)
