Within the role of Counter Fraud Manager, you will assist in identifying and assessing potential fraud risks within the organisation, and contribute to the implementation of appropriate controls. This is new role, therefore you will have the opportunity to work with the Senior Counter Fraud Lead to shape the role and put your stamp on it.
You will lead a team of driver and vehicle specialist who support and deliver the counter fraud activities of the team. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and assessing potential fraud risks, implementing real-time mitigation strategies, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
Additionally, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including engaging with external stakeholders gather and share intelligence data. Internally, you will work with colleagues to ensure relevant policies and procedures are followed. You will also support the Senior Counter Fraud Lead by reviewing operational change and impact assessments, identifying specific fraud risks, and embedding robust preventative measures within processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading and managing a team of specialist counter fraud/criminal intelligence officers to drive counter fraud activities.
* Continually reviewing the appropriateness of alerts and communications and reacting quickly on new intel.
* Leading operational/transactional fraud awareness sessions across the directorate.
* Supporting the drafting of official papers for the FED board, counter fraud groups and provide appropriate representation of the Agency at meetings/events.
* Supporting the Senior Counter Fraud Lead in their review of change/impact assessments to identify and mitigate specific operational fraud risks.
