About the area
The School of Earth and Oceans is a newly formed School from merging the School of Earth Sciences and the Oceans Graduate School at UWA. The school encompasses a broad range of Earth Science disciplines (geoscience, hydrogeology, geodata analytics, oceanography), Coastal and Ocean Engineering (hydrodynamics, geotechnics) and with a strong focus on research-led teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
About the opportunity
* Contribute to world-class teaching in the School, through high quality teaching and unit coordination in the Master of Hydrogeology, including online teaching and fieldwork.
* Undertake independent and collaborative research to generate high quality, impactful research outputs.
* Actively seek and attract funding to support research activities from national and international competitive funding agencies, industry and government partners.
About you
* PhD in Hydrogeology or closely related discipline.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver best-practice teaching approaches, assessment and materials related to hydrogeology and groundwater, including field-based and online teaching.
* A track record demonstrating excellence in research in hydrogeology that includes numerical modelling of groundwater systems, evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles published in high quality journals, relative to opportunity.
* Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to team, school and wider University activities such as team and school meetings, strategic planning and program development.
* Experience with groundwater data analysis and numerical modelling of groundwater systems including industry standard and open source software.
