We have an exciting new opportunity to join the team at our Mill Lodge Hospital.
About our Hospital
Mill Lodge Hospital is a newly commissioned 32-bed hospital providing specialist mental health care services on behalf of the NHS. Our patients range from 18 years to older adults.
We support patients with conditions including:
* depression
* mental illnesses such as schizophrenia
* personality disorder
* addictions
About the Role
As an occupational therapy assistant (OTA), you will work under the supervision and guidance of a qualified occupational therapist. You should be capable of working independently and as part of a team, planning and preparing sessions to ensure the OT program runs smoothly and on schedule.
About You
You should have excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and intrapersonal, and be able to handle challenging situations emotionally and physically. Compassion and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds are essential. Understanding of occupational therapy is also necessary.
Previous experience in an OTA role is beneficial but not mandatory. Experience in a mental health setting would be an advantage.
